Was inexpensive
Room does not have fridge or microwave. In the morning I found a few roaches and I felt unsafe at the location. Do not recommend.

Nothing. It was poorly kept, no amenities (not even coffee), cramped room that was not clean. I will not be back here.
Unfriendly staff, dirty room, bad neighborhood, and nothing even as little as coffee was offered to guests.

Proximity to utk campus
The room was beyond just needing to be cleaned. Bathroom vent had so much dirt and lint it couldn't work. Cigarette butts were left on the table and there were 2 packaged condoms on the floor. The only reason I stayed at the Economy Inn was because it was close to campus and it was the only room available on a ut football weekend. If there were any others I would not have stayed there.

Honestly nothing. It was not a good experience at all!
The hotel is located in a sketchy area. The staff are not appropriate for this job. Our room was not clean, specially the bath room. Lots of dirt around the bed. The room was full of cockroaches. We could hear them chewing some stuff overnight. We had some snacks in a drawer, and all of them had been chewed by cockroaches when we opened the drawer! We discarded our all foodstuff without even being touched! No facial tissue paper in rest room, and when we asked we only heard a negative answer! We had to regularly ask for soap and shampoo, and when they brought any, all were either free sample shampoos or soap of other hotels! I have never seen such a thing. We had booked a room with refrigerator and microwave, but they gave us a room with none of them! We insisted, and after a day, and a couple of times asking, they brought us a dirty, super tiny fridge, and a dirty microwave with no plate it it! The shower got cold after 3-4 minutes, and we had to wait for a few minutes until it gets warm again. We are a very well-traveled couple (around the World), but believe us that in general it was the worst experience we ever had.

The owners tried to renivate the hotel room but they did a rally bad job. They got paint over all the fictures and took nothing off the wall when they painted. They also did a bad job in the bathroom improperly cocking the sink, the toilet seat was the wrong size, and th faucet was loose. The door had something to replace hinges that had broken. The place looked shooty and they do not provide a continental breakfast like they claimed on the web. I would not stay at Econolodge again!

The scary neighborhood. The sign saying 'No Prostitution.' The sheets that did not cover the mattress, the plywood on the outside of the building. Them charging my credit card twice. Two lumpy pillows and 1 tissue-thin towel for four people. Bathroom faucet broken.
